Storyblok Survey: Customers Trust Websites, Not AI

85% of consumers aren't interested in using AI for purchases

Websites matter more than apps and social media to today’s customers, and they aren’t interested in AI recommendations.

Headless CMS Storyblok has revealed the results of a global survey of 1,000 consumers, indicating the content customers trust and reject when making purchases. Some of the key results from the survey show the majority of consumers (43%) believe a brand’s website is more valuable than its mobile app (34%), 70% of shoppers primarily use a smartphone for online shopping, and 85% aren’t interested in using AI to help them decide on purchases.

“It’s easy for brands to fall into the trap of chasing the latest trends instead of giving people what they actually want. As these survey results show, consumers have authentic content and useful websites on their wish list this holiday season,” said Storyblok CEO and co-founderDominik Angerer.

Elsewhere, Sitecore has appointed a new CMO, Hygraph and Akeneo have partnered up, and Kentico has a new Gold-level partner in Granite Digital.
