Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen to Step Down

Handing over the reins after 18 years

Digital experience platform (DXP) provider Adobe announced that Shantanu Narayen informed the board of his decision to step down as CEO once a successor is named. Narayen is seen as the architect behind the company's pivot from packaged software to a cloud-first digital experience empire. He will remain as Chair of the Board.

The board has appointed Lead Independent Director Frank Calderoni to chair the special committee overseeing the search.

"On behalf of the Board, I want to recognize Shantanu's contributions as CEO and architect of Adobe's transformation over the past 18 years, and for positioning Adobe for success in the AI-driven era. We are focused on selecting the right leader for this next exciting chapter of the company's growth," said Calderoni.

Elsewhere, SitecoreAI was recognized by industry experts and practitioners, and SearchStax introduced a defined recovery model for enterprise search.
