Adobe Buys Semrush For $1.9 Billion

Signaling the importance of brand visibility, SEO, and GEO

Digital experience provider Adobe is set to acquire brand visibility platform Semrush in an all-cash transaction for $12.00 per share, representing a total equity value of approximately $1.9 billion.

“Brand visibility is being reshaped by generative AI, and brands that don’t embrace this new opportunity risk losing relevance and revenue. With Semrush, we’re unlocking GEO for marketers as a new growth channel alongside their SEO, driving more visibility, customer engagement and conversions across the ecosystem,” said Anil Chakravarthy, president of Adobe’s Digital Experience Business.

Elsewhere, Forrester announced its DXP Wave 2025 with Optimizely, Adobe, Salesforce, and Sitecore leading the way, with the likes of Contentstack and Acquia listed as Strong Performers.
